In Search of a Miracle

In Search of a Miracle

After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias. And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which he did on them that were diseased. John 6:1,2

The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone;  (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:) When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus. And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither? Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled. Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.  Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?  Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. John 6:22-29

In the above verse 26 of the book of John Jesus spoke about them seeking Him because they saw the miracles, He was telling them that it is His will for people to seek Him for miracles. And it John chapter 6 verses one and two the people did follow Him because they saw the miracles He did.

God desires people to seek Him for His miracles, and so we are in search of a miracle.

When people come to a Church or a ministry they come in search of a miracle. There seeking for that touch of God that will make them well.

They are hungry for that healing or miracle and go to great lengths to receive it.

The people in John chapter 6 followed Jesus because of the miracles, they were in search of a miracle. We as God's ministers and as His Church must have the miracle ministry so the people can come in search of a miracle and receive it.

God is giving His people His Divine faith for miracles. Jesus mother Mary had Divine faith in John chapter 2 and she wouldn't let go of Jesus until He did the miracle she was believing Him for. Mary went and sought Jesus out at the marriage for this miracle, and her faith began His miracle ministry.

And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him. John 2:1-11

This was the beginning of miracles in Jesus ministry. It was a manifestation of the glory of the Lord that did the miracle. The miracle cloud.

The Lord has prophesied for years that the main gift of the Holy Ghost that would be in manifestation in this season is the gift of the working of miracles. The Spirit is giving this gift now to His Church, a new rhythm of miracle living is manifesting now is the Church.

So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum. When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death. Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe. The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.  Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way. And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth. Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.  This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee. John 4:46-54

In the above scriptures is the account of the second miracle Jesus did. Again the Nobleman sought out Jesus to receive a miracle for his son for he was at the point of death.

As people search for a miracle they must search for it with all their heart.

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Matthew 7:7

God is now using signs and wonders to teach us to depend on Him for His supernatural provision in our lives.

Deuteronomy 8:3.

And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. Deuteronomy 8:3
