To Experience God's Supernaturalism

To Experience God's Supernaturalism

To Experience God's Supernaturalism we must take the limits off of God!

How to Take the Limits off of God-The Six Spiritual Senses

The God we serve is a God who knows no limits. We limit Him. We do not see Him as He really is. Pray this prayer with me-God open our Spiritual eyes so that we may see you as you really are. All of us are born with five natural senses. We have the sense of smell, touch, taste, touch, sight. Man tries to understand God with these five natural senses, but there is no way you can reach God with your five natural senses. You can never reach God through them or see Him as He is.

We must see God as He is once we see Him as He is we will never limit Him!

Your natural senses are finite. They have limited capabilities. When we try to perceive God with these natural senses, what we are really doing in limiting Him by these natural senses.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.1 Corinthians 2:14

To contact God, man needs a new Spiritual sense, a sixth sense.

When we are born again God gives us a new spirit and He puts His Spirit in our new spirit.

Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. Ezekiel 36:25-27

God is a Spirit. So to contact Him our spirits contact Him.

God is a Spirit

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:24

Man is a spirit.

The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly. Proverbs 20:27

Jesus said in John chapter 3 that we are born of the Spirit.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. John 3:5-8

So we being born of the Spirit, we contact God Who is a Spirit by our spirits.

God also said in Romans chapter 8 and in Galatians chapter 4 that God has sent forth the Spirit of adoption whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: Romans 8:15,16

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Galatians 4:4-6

From these scriptures we can see we contact God who is a Spirit by our spirits.

Our spirits new sense is faith.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8,9

It would be impossible for you to be a Child of God and not to have Divine faith, no one can get to the cross without Divine faith-and it takes Divine love to use Divine faith.

In the spirit sense of faith are the other five Spiritual senses. They parallel the five natural senses.

  1. Seeing in the Spirit
  2. Hearing in the Spirit
  3. Touching in the Spirit
  4. Tasting in the Spirit
  5. Smelling in the Spirit

Now consider the reality of the Spiritual senses: sight, touch, taste, smell, hearing, they all work through the sixth sense faith.

To see God as He really is, to take the limits completely off of Him, we must have a sense that is totally unlimited. Such a sense would set God completely free to work for us-not according to our meager comprehension by our five natural senses- according to His unlimited capabilities.

  1. With His limitless ability. Ephesians 3:20
  2. With His limitless being. Hebrews 7:3
  3. With His limitless creative power. Genesis 1:6,7

God made man in His own image--a spirit man. Then He put in him five senses in order for him to contact his earthly sphere. They have nothing to do with God. The five senses were given to contact the earthly sphere. But the soul of man, the spirit, has a sense too, which is faith. Through faith man contacts his Maker. The five senses have nothing to do with it. They touch the earthly sphere but your spirit touches the heavenly sphere. So the sense of feeling, like my touching this man, is real to the body. Sight is real to the body. It is a reality. But faith is more of a reality to your soul. Now listen, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things you do not see, taste, feel smell or hear. Yet it is just as real, more real than any of the other five senses.

An example of a man who operated in the supersense of faith is God's Prophet William Branham-

LOOKING AT THE UNSEEN

When the gift is operating, Brother Branham is the most sensitive person to the presence and working of the Holy Spirit and to spiritual realities of any person I have ever known. Under the anointing, which operates his spiritual gifts, and when he is conscious of the Angel's presence, he seems to break through the veil of the flesh into the world of spirit, to be struck through and through with a sense of the unseen.

Paul wrote (II Cor. 4:18), "We look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."

Paul's words here indicate that we are now living in two worlds at the same time--the world of sense, and the world of spirit. The world of spirit surrounds, enspheres, and interpenetrates the world of sense.

Both worlds occupy the same space at the same time. The material realities which we see with our natural eyes, exist in the midst of the far better realities which are unseen by the optic nerve. The Scriptures teach us that the superior "eternal" realities compass us now. What sights might every one of us see at every moment of our existence, at every turn of our path, had we anointed eyes with which to see them! "The seen" exists in the midst of "the unseen;" the "temporal" in the midst of the "eternal."

Paul says, "He that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit." While filled with the Holy Spirit, our spirit and God's Spirit are blended into one in the same way that the ocean and the bay are one because the ocean flows into the bay. Then it is that the glorious spiritual realities gain the ascendancy and become the most dominant. We see truth and spiritual realities through God's eyes. At such times future events seem to be present like a preview of a coming motion picture attraction. Jesus said, "The Spirit will show you things to come."

The reason the God that we serve is a God who knows no limits is that He is the same God Who was in the beginning. He is the same God Who said, Genesis 1:3. He is the same God Who created the universe, the planets, and the seas. This is our God. He is the same I AM God Who opened the Red Sea for Moses and the children of Israel to walk through, Who protected Daniel from being eaten by hungry lions, Who sent ravens to Elijah during a desperate famine, and Who slew the armies of Israel's enemies with a hail storm so His people didn't even need to fight a battle.

He is the same God Who resurrected Jesus from the dead. He is the same God Who poured out His Holy Spirit upon the disciples so that they might have power over all the power of the enemy.

God, help us to see right now that You are the God Who is able to do miracles in our own life, in our own ministry, and is able to meet every need that we have–every need! We can have total care, total provision, total protection, total health, total peace, total victory! That's the God we serve. If we could only see Him as the God that He is. It is so essential to our experience and our well- being to have that special sense, that sixth sense to comprehend Him.

When Jesus spoke in parables the ordinary, run of the mill listener missed His point entirely, Jesus said of them, Matthew 13:13 These people saw Jesus with their eyes, They heard Him with their ears. They tasted the loaves and the fishes He multiplied. They missed the real point of His ministry because they were completely devoid of that Spiritual sixth sense.

Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. Matthew 13:13-15

The Centurion possessed such a sixth sense. When the Centurion told Jesus about his paralyzed and tormented servant, Jesus offered to go to his home to heal his servant. The Centurion reply to this was that he was not only unworthy of Jesus coming to his house but that it was completely unnecessary for Him to come. There, on that street corner, he confessed Jesus as Lord. He told Jesus to speak the Word only, and his servant would be healed. He said that he was under the authority of his leaders and also was a leader himself, with others under his authority. He said when he tells one of his soldiers to go, he goes. Whatever he tells his soldiers to do, they do it. He told Jesus that if he would just speak, that whatever He commanded to be done would be done. He recognized that Jesus had the authority over all sickness. Jesus marveled over this. He told the Centurion that he had not found such great faith in all of Israel. The centurion had exceptional skill at utilizing a sixth sense. it is called faith.

Faith is not a natural force. It is a great inner knowing. It is not a thinking, not a wishing, not a hoping, but a great knowing of Who God is, what He is able to do, , and what He is willing to do. The centurion had the sixth sense-faith in a way no one before him had ever had. Matthew 8:10

When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 8:10-12

The centurion had such an inner knowing of Who Jesus was, such a belief in His might, that Jesus said there have never been any greater faith.

How could the centurion say that? The centurion could see Jesus as He really is.
