The Abiding Anointing Through Our Union with Christ
If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My
words remain in you and
continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done
for you. John 15:7(Amp)
As a result of our union with Christ by abiding in Him, signs and wonders will flow!
Do you not beleive that I am in the Father and that the Father is in Me. What I am telling you I do not say on My own authority and on My own accord, but the Father Who lives cuntinually in Me does the works-His miracles, His own deeds of power. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me: or else believe Me for the sakes of the very works themselves-if you cannot trust Me, at least let these works that I do in My Father's name convince you. John 14:9-11(Amp)
The works-signs and wonders Jesus did were a result of His union with the Father. Jesus was one with the Father. He said, I am in the Father and the Father is in Me. It was the Father Who lived and dwelt continually in Jesus Who was doing the works through Him. Jesus did not act or speak of His own accord, but according to what the Father directed Him to say and do.
In this union with the Father, the Father revealed to Jesus what to say and do. As Jesus acted upon the direction He received from the Father, in the power and authority of His Name, what He spoke came to pass. Signs and wonders were manifested through Him, proving and testifying that He was the Son of God.
The works- signs and wonders, believers do today are the result of our union with Christ. It is Christ living and continually dwelling in us Who performs His works through us.
Through the blood of Jesus, we have entered into a covenant where we are one with Him. The Father is in Him, He is in us, and we are in Him. As we walk in this covenant relationship with Him, He will reveal His will to us, what we are to say and do. Then as we are led by His Spirit and act upon the direction we receive from Him, in the power and authority of His Name. what we speak will come to pass. Signs and wonders will follow.
